Time Is Flying...

Image
Wow what a fast week! This week just flew by. It was filled with a lot of finding new people to teach (kind of what you always do especially when you enter a new area) posting lots on Facebook (my comp and I are the technology specialists again, so we are running the Facebook page) and zone conference (which was awesome!)   So, all in all, this week has been great! It's been hard to change things up but that's what life it all about, CHANGE.     In zone conference our Mission President talked about Repentance and the importance of being forgiven. Forgiveness allows CHANGE to happen. As we repent daily and turn towards Christ to be forgiven our lives will change, I can tell you that cause as I've done it in my life and my life has changed. Christ took a crazy teenager and changed me into the person I am today. The best thing about change is no one is perfect, so we all have room to change our lives for the better we just need to know who to go to (CHRIST).   I love mi...

Leaving Itapipoca...

This one will be fast!   This last week was great! We had tons of awesome lessons with our friends that are wanting to learn more, we walked our feet off, and had church in person again! And I actually gave a talk in church!    It was kind of scary cause I definitely don't know Portuguese as well as I need to, but it was amazing to feel the spirit speak though me and help me say the things I wanted to share. The spirit works it many ways and I know it was the spirit guiding me as I was speaking.      I talked about the importance of HOPE IN CHRIST,  how we can increase our HOPE IN CHRIST, and how we need to share that HOPE IN CHRIST with others around us.   Christ's Gospel, God's plan, the Restoration are all things that bring us hope and none of these things would be made possible without Christ.... Jesus Christ changes lives and brings hope. That's why we...

First In-Person Church Here In Brazil!

Wow these last 2 weeks have just flown by! Sorry for not writing an email last week we've been busy! I hope y'all are doing well.   But here's what happened last week! We had just been working our hardest contracting people, teaching people, going to family home evenings, and having activities in the church with members and our friends we are teaching!   We had an AP, one of the mission leaders, come and work with us for a couple of days and he gave us a bunch of ideas of how we could strengthen the branch here in Itapipoca. So, we put it in action! We had a Noite Familiar (family night) in the church with whoever wanted to come, and we had a great turn out! About 25 people and some were nonmembers we are teaching! It was an amazing experience! We taught about sharing the gospel and the joy it brings with others!   We had a Baptism!! Her name is Vitoria! She's amazing, her family has been inactive for a little but with the AP's help we got them really hyped to start...
