I Ate Some Possum!

This week flew by wow!! Tuesday we did lots of service for a member in the Camden ward. He fed us hamburgers and they were really good. He's redoing his kitchen so we ripped out the flooring he had in there and then hung out with him and chilled.  

 

Wednesday we just hung out in our little shack all day and friended people on face book!!! Thursday is when I ate the possum. It was actually ok. The member that made it had made the possum in to sausage so it didn't taste that bad and then they put it over noodles it was ok I was hoping I'd get to kill the first possum I ate here in south Carolina but I guess that'll have to happen later!

 

Friday we did more service for 2 members, the Napp family and Bobby Ravanski. The Napp family just had us do some yard work but Bobby had us dig trenches for plumbing which was quite fun if all you do usually is sit in your apartment on Facebook!! 

 

Saturday, we went back to Bobby's to finish up and played in his game room for a little Pool, ping pong, foosball, and air hockey (he's got it all) 

 

Sunday, I talked in church well to 5 people cause here church is still just with your District. But I spoke on how God has prepared a way for all of us. In Alma chapter 8 in the book of Mormon it talks about how Alma is commanded to preach the word of God to the people of Ammonihah but the people there have hardened their hearts and cast him out. Then as Alma is leaving he is commanded to return back to the people that just cast him out (by this tme in Alma's life I think he knows to trust God) so he returns! He goes back and finds Amulek who had had a vision from the lord about Alma and how he was going to come and that he should accept him!! He does and both Alma and Amulek are blessed for it! 

 I related the story of Alma to my life and thought about how I was sent to Brazil then got cast out (sent home) and now I'm returning to the work in South Carolina!! I know that god has a plan for each and every one of us. He has prepared a way for us and as we trust in him. He will bless us and the people around us just like Alma and Amulek. I encourage all of you to put a little more if not all of your trust in our heavenly father so he can and will bless you!!! I love all of y'all
