All The Same But A Little Different
Haha sorry I didn't write an email last week cause alot didn't happen but this week lots happen which is awesome here's how it went
Tuesday we did service at 6:30 in the morning laying sod it was good to put in some work! I never thought I'd like laying sod but honestly once you're done it's super satisfying. After service we had District council and I led the discussion we talked about the talk Ensuring a Righteous Judgment by Elder James R. Rasband in the April 2020 general conference its awesome if you don't remember it you should really go read it or give it a listen! It talks about how Jesus Christ our Savior healed the wounds we can not heal.
Wednesday we did service for Gary he’s the motorcycle guy. We helped pour some cement pads and lay down seed so grass grows! We are going back some time this next week to help him more like 30 motorcycles to his garage!! That's gonna be dope
Thursday we had a lesson with a new investor his name is Bryon he’s super cool and receptive to the gospel but he has some mental issues and forgets what we teach him alot!! So we are being patient and working with him which is great!!
Friday we did service for Malinda she's dope she is going through a divorce right now and wants to grow closer to God and build a relationship with him so we encouraged her to pray!! I know that as we pray our relationship with the lord will be strengthened and we will over time grow to know and understand that he is truly there and loves us!!
Saturday we did service for the Larsons they are the nicest people and they actually lived in sandy about a 20 years ago like 3 minutes from my house so that's cool we helped them cut down trees and cleaned up their yard for them she also told me she has a quilting machine so I asked what kind and she was like "are you a quilter?" I was like "ummmm not really but my dad's the CEO of Handi Quilter" and she was like "no way really!!!??? I have an HQ machine!!!" So I think that got me some brownie points haha
Sunday I spoke in church on faith in Jesus Christ and how we need to constantly be strengthening our faith in Jesus Christ by repenting daily!!! I know that as we repent daily we are showing Christ how much we love him and not taking him for granted I encourage you guys to repent daily and constantly grow your faith in him!!
I'm loving it out here and am feeling the blessings of being a missionary daily! I love yall
Elder Denning!
Ps we got a new president on Saturday President Monson he’s from Sandy! So I'm stoked I hope every one has a good week!!
