Splash Zone.....

This week has been awesome but kind of exhausting! We had tons of service; we did service once if not twice a day this week. The service projects consisted of cleaning out garages, mowing and weed whacking some lawns, volunteering at food for the soul, moving sticks, cutting down trees, trimming back overgrown vines (there's lots of those here) making the woods look like a park, helping people burn their burn piles and lots of other stuff hahaha! Honestly, it's been great! One thing that I've noticed is its easier to be happy when you're making someone else happier!!

There is this story I've seen posted on Facebook and I'd like to share it here if you don't want to read it you can just skip over it!

It goes like this

A teacher brought balloons to school and asked the children to blow them all up and then each write their names on their balloon.

They tossed all the balloons into the hall while the teacher mixed them from one end to the other.  The teacher then gave them 5 minutes to find the balloon with their name on it.

The children ran around, looking frantically but as the time ran out - nobody had found their own balloon…

Then the teacher told them to take the balloon closest to them and give it to the person whose name was on it.  In less than 2 minutes everyone had their own balloon.

Finally, the teacher said,

“Balloons are like happiness. No one will find it looking for theirs only. Instead if everyone cares about each other's they will find theirs as quickly as possible.”

I know that as you serve and help others find happiness you will in turn find your own happiness I know it to be true cause I have felt it on my mission serving others and helping them see God in their lives!!

So, get out and serve someone, it may make you happy!!

About the title hahaha in my ward here in South Carolina they call the front row of the chapel the splash zone because when the speakers talk, they take off their masks and that's the reason members can't sit there during covid! Someone said If you sit up there, you'll need a poncho and I thought it was funny!

We also are teaching a dude named Walker he's super cool and plays football in high school! He's awesome and really has a strong desire to know if the gospel is true. This week, we challenged him to really pray about it and ask the lord if it's TRUE! I know that asking with a sincere heart Heavenly Father will give him an answer!

This next weekend is general conference and I'm stoked for it! I encourage all of you to watch it! Cause it's going to be awesome!

Well I hope yall have a wonderful week stay safe!
