God Really Does Answer Prayers!

Howdy yall this last week was awesome it was my last week with Elder Hart my companion that I've had for 6 months!! I'm not going to lie I've loved my time with Elder Hart but I'm excited for a change!! I'm staying here in Elgin 

 

We met with tons of members this last week and wow people here in South Carolina are dope and some of the kindest people I've met!! Maybe its cause I'm a missionary but they feed us all the time!!! And wow southern people know how to cook (and make sweets)hahha 

 

We did tons of service this week as usual we helped members lay sod, put in cabinets and rake leaves!! Service is always fun!! I've really grown to love service out here on my mission and know that as you serve others you WILL find that you are happier!! I've felt it!! 

 

About my title, I know that God answers prayers! I had a super cool experience this last week. I was feeling a little down on myself!!  I woke up one morning and had a terrible attitude! The first thing I did was get on my knees and pray to my Heavenly Father!! I asked for help, but it was a tough day. I was super upset by the end of the night because nothing changed and as I studied that night, I read Alma 1:25 Now this was a great trial to those that did stand fast in the faith; nevertheless, they were steadfast and immovable in keeping the commandments of God, and they bore with patience the persecution which was heaped upon them.  I thought to myself life may feel like its persecuting us we may feel as if we are alone and as we get sad and down on ourselves, we may think, where is God right now and why isn't he helping me! I know that as we are steadfast and patient everything will get better the Lord wants us to get stronger and that's why we have hard times. If life was easy no one would progress and become stronger! That night I got back down on my knees and thanked the Lord for helping me and pushing me to be my best!! I know that the Lord can help you in your trials but just know, those trails will help you become the best you! I know our heavenly father answers prayers and he does it in ways that we don't always expect! But as we are patient with him, he'll point us in the right direction!! 

 

I love love love my mission and love this gospel it has brought me so much joy and happiness and it can bring you joy and happiness if you live by the principles taught!!
