Week 4 In BRASIL!!!
Wow what a week! This week was busy busy busy! Which was a good thing. But sorry for not writing an email last week not a lot happened last week, and my companion was sick for 2 days. We did have zone conference in person, and it was amazing (at least everything I understood was) I loved it! It was about how we can have an experience with the Book of Mormon! And let me tell you it's awesome. Next time you read the Book of Mormon I want you to pray before and ask Heavenly Father a question you have! Ask him to help you find it through the Book of Mormon! And I promise you that your prayer will be answered!
This last week like I said we were busy busy busy which is awesome, and it makes time fly! We had so lessons! I couldn't even keep track of who they were! And granted I can't really understand them, but you know you're talking with a lot of people when your comp asks "what did Lucilane say about her family?" and I say, "oh she lives with her grandmother and 4 kids" and he says, "no that's Liliane...."
Haha kind of crazy but I think this last week one of the coolest experiences I had was in a lesson. I was challenged by my District Leader to invite someone to be baptized. So, I accepted the challenge and during this lesson as we were talking about the gospel of Jesus Christ and how important baptism is, I invited her to be baptized! ....... but she didn't understand she said "eu não entendi" so I said a little prayer in my heart and said it again. But this time with some extra help from Heavenly Father and she said yes! It was really cool seeing that prayer works right in that moment! I for sure know God lives and loves us enough to help us with the little things!
But just like I have experienced, sometimes God lets us struggle a little bit.... sometimes he lets us make mistakes. But these mistakes we can learn from we can pray a little bit harder and the lord will bless you because you are trying you hardest. I felt this ALOT this week as at the beginning of the week I wasn't trying as hard as I could. I was asking God during my prayers why aren't you help me with this stinking language?? But then I realized I need to give it my all and then he would make up for the rest! So, I urge EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU give it your all..... NO, give HIM your all and he will make up the rest. I promise he will.
I love this work like no other and I am loving struggling though these hard times with Portuguese. It only gets better each and every day!
I hope y'all have a wonder week!
