Feliz Dia Dos Pais! Mission Conference!

Wow time flies June is already almost over... Happy fathers day Dad love ya!

Kind of crazy but Brazil has been amazing these last to weeks have been awesome (sorry I forgot to write an email last week) so here are the highlights of the last 2 weeks!

- we had a Baptism!! Our friend Thiago was baptized of Friday this last week. He is amazing he's 9 years old and was so ready to follow the example of Jesus Christ his family was baptized about a year and a half ago right before the pandemic. When we first went over to their home we noticed that even with not being able to go to church they we staying strong in the gospel reading the Book of Mormon daily and saying their prays as a family every night!

Thiago was basically waiting to be baptized (they thought they couldn't have a Baptism cause of the pandemic) when he was 7 he sat in on the lessons with his mom grandma and sisters so when we were teaching him he knew all the answers to our questions! His Baptism was super special and the spirit was definitely there! I'll put some pictures of the Baptism below!

-Maria's family, Maria is one of the recent concerts here in the Itapipoca branch she and her sons were baptized when I first got here! We've been going back to their house (which is really far away and straight up hill) to teach the lessons after Baptism and do family night with them! And it's been awesome every time we go over there we start teaching more and more people she basically wants her while family Baptized So she introduces us to everyone! And every time we have lessons up there it's so cool to her her testimony and the testimony of her sons! Even though they are new members Christ had changed them and when they testify of that change and how it was a change for the better its amazing!!

-Priscilla and her family, Pricilla is someone we've been talking to for about 2 weeks and this last week we went over in person to have a lesson. During the lesson the spirit was so strong and they had so many good questions! (When people ask good questions you know they're interested) we taught like the first 3 lessons in on lesson there and at the end of the lesson we invited them to read the book of Mormon and to get an answer for themselves! After the lesson which them they bought us some bread to eat so we were just chatting when Pricillas sister came in and said "what church are you guys from" with out being able to respond pricillas Mom said "The original Church of Jesus Christ, but today its call the Church of Jesus Christ of later-day saints." It was awesome to know that she understand what we taught and the the spirit had testified to her the this church really is the Chuch of Jesus Christ!

-Mission Conference! We had a Mission Conference (my first one on my mission) a Mission Conference (for those of you that don't know) is where all of the missionaries in the mission get to gather and we have an awesome meeting about the gospel a d how we can Improve our missionary work! This mission Conference we all centered of the Restoration of the Gosple of Jesus Christ. We were able to here from our President how important it is to help our friends understand the importance of the Restoration of Christs true Church! The spirit was so strong there and it confirmed to me AGAIN that this is Christs chich that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that the power and authority to preach, baptize, bless, and preform ordinances in the name of God was restored to the earth through him! That power and authority is why I'm out here serving.

- The Temple, the Mission Conference was at the chapel that's right by the temple so I was able to see the Fortaleza Temple that day for the first time in person its beautiful.

-Also funny story we missed our bus to come back to Our area Itapipoca so we were stuck in fortaleza with the assistant for a day!

The work here in brazil is awesome and I am loving it as you can tell I don't think I'd rather be in any other place then on a mission right now!

I know that what I am doing right now is what my Heavenly Father wants me to be doing. I know that the things I am teaching out here are true and if you pray and ask God you can know they are true as well. The Gosple of Jesus Christ brings joy and light in to people's lives and I am grateful to be able to see that first hand. If you need a little more joy or light in your life reach out to me or your local Missionaries I know they can help!:)

Love y'all
