Elder Damasceno And 19 Months

Wow this week was fast! Yup I got my new companion, and this last week we got to work! 

 

My new comp's name is Elder Damasceno he's from São Paulo and and has a year and 3 months in the mission. I'm excited for this new transfer and the new challenges it brings.

 

This last week me and Elder Damasceno got a lot done. We contacted everyone we've been teaching and set up visits with the ones we've had a hard time keeping in contact with in-person. 

 

We had several really good spirit led lessons and saw the spirit work in each of our lessons in some way!

 

One of the new people we found this week is Ivamar. He's awesome and is so ready for the Restored gospel of Jesus Christ. We talked to him about the Restoration and at first, we asked him which church here on the earth has all of Christ's teaching. He was like none of them? We then explained all about Joseph Smith and the how he had this question. And how he got his answer. We invited him to read the Book of Mórmon and really pray like Joseph Smith did to get an answer! The spirit was so strong when we testified the truthfulness of the book of Mórmon I had to point it out to him, and he was like yes, I do feel That! It was a great lesson and a great spiritual experience with him! 

 

We also talked this week to someone that's atheist and it was super funny as we were talking to him and sharing our testimony, he said maybe you guys can convince me to believe in God. Once he said that I thought to myself we can't, but the lord can work through us to help him believe and have faith! 

 

But that was my week oh ya I also hit my 19 months mark this last week so only 5 more months to go I've got to soak up every last-minute cause this work is the best!
