Conferência Da ZONA

What a week! 

This week was filled with lots of great things. we are working our tails off here in our area Ramo Poeta and just trying to get things moving forward!  

 

It consisted of calling investigators, visiting Investigators, visiting members, speaking in church, leading the music in Church(it's a lot harder when the words are in Portuguese) zone conference, and lots of other stuff as well...

 

We had a member this week bring one of his friends to church! We started teaching him what it's all about and answering his questions. He is super interested, and we are stoked to help him find Joy through Following Christ!

 

But one of my highlights this week was zone conference we talked all about faith and how we need to strengthen our faith. I gave a talk about why faith is important in our work as missionaries. Faith is the first step, the first principle in the gospel of Jesus Christ, and there's a reason, but why? Faith is believing without seeing. In our life there's lots of things we cannot see. We can see what's going to happen today, we can't see what happens after we die but one of the more important things, we cannot see is Jesus Christ. And that's why it's the first principle in his gospel. Because first we need to believe in him. How can we repent if we don't believe in Jesus Christ. How can we follow his example and be baptized if we don't believe in HIM! As you increase your faith in Jesus Christ and believe in him, you'll have a desire to change you'll want to repent because HE died for your sins, you'll want to help others cause HE helped others and you'll want to be part of his church cause it's HIS church! It's as simple as that and really that's why it's the first step in the gospel of Jesus Christ because it's as simple as believing but faith is more than believing its acting on it too and As I thought about my faith at this conference, I thought about what I believe and what I can do about it. How I will act. What I will do because of what Christ did for me. 

 

I encourage each of you to increase your faith but act on it as well. Get out and do something Christ would do I know it will bless you and will bless the ones around you.
