Week 97
Wow this week went fast (I feel like I say that alot) but honestly this was probably one of my fastest weeks I've had on my mission. Which is good and bad at the same time..... I'm trying to take in every minute every miracle every little thing because I know 3 months will go by fast.
We've been working like crazy and finding tons of success meeting new people and talking about the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ the people here are so ready for the gospel and always so excepting. We called this guy names Carlos Antonio this week he wanted us to share a message with him and his family. So, the next day at 9 o'clock in the morning we headed to his house. His house is at the end of an ally way and is basically hand made out of plywood. And here no one builds a house out of wood only cement and brick. So, we knew this was going to be an experience. He, his hopefully soon to be wife, his dad, his 5 kids and his 4 grandkids live there. There's a lot of people living in this house. But we got there and shared our message. About the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Man, during the lesson the spirit was so strong even with their 12 chickens 5 ducks and like15 cats the spirit was so strong. As we bore testimony and invited them to be Baptized (well get married first) as we were teaching this family, I felt the lord's love he has for each and every one of us. I thought to myself.... this is the last place it'd think of to be a place where we could feel the spirit. And yet there it was so strong.
Family and friends I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father and He's there for us wherever we need him. I know we can feel his love for us in any place and at anytime through the Holy Ghost. I mean you can even feel it here in Brasil Fortaleza, where it's so hot you feel like you're close to where the devil lives ;)
But He loves us so even with chickens, cats, duck, kids he allows us to feel his spirit, his love.
This work is wonderful and I'm loving being able to share his love with others. please pray for Carlos Antonio and his family.
Love y'all
Elder Denning.
