Freedom And Change

This last week flew by!!! We were let out of quarantine on Wednesday which was awesome cause then we got to go to Thanksgiving!! Thanksgiving is one if my favorite holidays because you eat a ton and are just filled with gratitude! As I was doing president Nelson's challenge I thought about all the things I'm grateful for and there's a lot! And Let me tell ya I know that if you look at the good things in your life, they will outweigh the bad things! Cause that happened a lot this last week with me!   Thanksgiving was awesome we had it with some of our members!  They had a friendsgiving and invited us, they are all like 28-30 years old and have small kids so it was so fun!! The food was great as well! They definitely know how to cook down here in the south! After I I was done, I felt like I put on 20 pounds!!!   Cool miracle this week, we met this guy named Logan on Facebook he's super cool and has had a rough life.  We've done video calls with him and that's abou...

QUARANTINE....

Olá família e amigos!    This week was a tough one!! Well not at the beginning hahah well, we were working hard going to lessons, teaching people, talking to people on Facebook and Instagram then the zone leader (who we share this ward/area with) did exchanges and the missionary that come to our area (so we were around him) was feeling sick the next day.  So, he got tested for covid.... long story short he tested positive and we have to quarantine for a week until we can go back out and if we have symptoms we have to go get tested!! All in all it's been a good week but we were stuck inside! It's crazy how missionary work has changed however, we contacted all our friends that we had lessons with and were going to meet up with and told them we had to do video lessons instead and they were fine with it!! And they all went smoothly!! I'm grateful for technology and the ability we had to still get stuff done even if we are quarantined!!    Another highlight of my wee...

Repentance = Change And Engagement

I was reading through my last couple of emails and thought to myself "wow these are rough" so hopefully I can be better at writing these! I've repented for my laziness in writing and I'm sad I didn't pay more attention in my English classes that would have helped a lot more!    But to start off this week Monday I got a call from the APs and bam I got transferred. It was out of nowhere and I had only been with Elder Fisher for about a week and a half! But I packed up and moved to Beaufort! I am now in a trio with Elder Collins and Elder Peterson they are super cool we are the technology specialists, so we are super busy which is super fun and I'm loving it!    We are teaching this guy named Jeff Dewey he's dope, has a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon and has come to know it's TRUE through prayer with his Heavenly Father! I met him and thought this guy is stellar! He's on date to be baptized December 5th so pray that he can stop chewing Tobacco...

Zoom Mission Conference

Image
Wow this week was awesome and it flew by so fast!!! This week consisted of lots of Facebook tracing which is adding people and messaging them to see if they want to learn about Christ! We also had tons of member dinners which I love because the members here in Elgin are amazing and are awesome to help with missionary work!!! We also had a mission conference! The mission conference was awesome, we had 2 general authorities come and their words were so spiritual and enlightening but the one thing that I love is how much they express their love for us and how they know the work is hard, but it is still moving forward!! Missionary work never stops, and I know that cause I'm out here serving! But I know even if there weren't missionaries these members would step up and be member missionaries!!! I encourage all of you to share something about the gospel that you know to be true to someone!! I love all of yall!!! Have a good week!!    Elder Denning!

Novo Companheiro

This week was transfers and I finally got a new companion!! His name is Elder Fisher and he's dope I'm stoked for this transfer and the new change!! Although I'm really going to miss elder hart and all we did together but I'm ready to have some fun with my new comp!    This week transfers were Thursday so that day we drove all the way down to Columbia to drop off Elder Hart and pick-up Elder Fisher!!    Friday, we went and visited members and got settled in!   Saturday the zone leaders came over we had lunch together and get our zone Leader a haircut and it was awesome, his comp is a fellow Alta hawk!! And he's a brand-new missionary so it was great to see a familiar face!! After they left, we play some spike ball in honor of it being Halloween! I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween!!   All in all, I'm loving it out here and my love for the work is growing!! It may not always seem like it but right now is the best time to be a missionary cause right now...
